USA Field Hockey might have left Spooky Nook Sports for a North Carolina training site, but it still has a heavy Lancaster County influence.

Brooke DeBerdine, a midfielder from Millersville, and Jillian Wolgemuth, a defender from Mount Joy, are members of the women's national team. Mackenzie Allessie, of Mount Joy, and Emma DeBerdine, a midfielder from Millersville, are members of the U-21 women's national team.

And in July 2022 all four were named to the women's national team.

Brooke DeBerdine, of Penn Manor and University of Maryland, played in the 2022 Pan American Cup Reserve and 2016 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup, both in Santiago, Chile. At Maryland she was Division 1 first-team All-America.

Wolgemuth, of Manheim Central and Duke University, played in the 2022 Pan American Cup and the 2020-21 FIH Pro League. At Duke, she was third-team All-America and first-team All-South Region.

Allessie, Donegal grad and a junior at Penn State, was Big Ten offensive player of the year and first-team All-America in 2020. In 2018 she became the youngest player to be named to the National Team, making first appearance on Jan. 27 of that year against Chile. She played in 2019 Pan Am games for Team USA.

Emma DeBerdine, Penn Manor grad and a junior at University of Maryland, has earned third-team All-America and various regional and conference honors.

This year the national team was in the Netherlands for the FIH Pro League, and the junior team was in South Africa for the Junior World Cup.
