Both Phipps and Hanna have goals to improve their times from last year and lead their Solanco Mules cross country team to the
District III meet.

Coach Andrew Musselman, a Solanco High School graduate, has high plans for his team as well. The girls team will compete this fall in a new invitational meet at Lehigh University, where nearly a hundred teams will gather with approximately 1,000 runners.

Also, the team is looking to the Warwick Under the Lights meet this season.

The Solanco squad has been running together over the summer to build both conditioning and team spirit.

Additionally, Phipps plays softball, and Hanna competes in track and field.

Both girls have post high school plans, Phipps pursuing a business degree and Hanna a teaching degree.
