Elizabethtown Boys cross country team is training to repeat their 2024 record of 7-0 as Section 2 Champions and add to their two- year reign. The team has been working on a 10-week program, designed by Coach Ed Barlow, in getting ready for this year’s schedule. A meet with Lampeter-Strasburg High School looms as a key match-up.
In conditioning for stamina for the '25 invitationals, Checco has sights on a sub-16 minute time and his teammate, Myers, has plans to run a sub-17:00 for a personal best.
Myers runs year-round with cross country, indoor track and track and field. Checco competes in baseball besides cross country.
Checco has plans upon graduation to pursue mechanical engineering, and Myers plans to attend college, though he's undecided on a major currently.
