PowerPro Backs of the Week
Section One:
Cedar Crest senior wide receiver Kai Speaks earned Back of the Week honors after a dynamic performance against Warwick. Speaks returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown, hauled in two receptions for 106 yards and two scores, and contributed key blocks from his receiver position, including one pancake block.
Section Two:
Ephrata junior Ben McCracken, a wide receiver and linebacker, made his impact felt on both sides of the ball in a win over Garden Spot. McCracken caught four passes for 38 yards and a touchdown while also recording nine total tackles, including four solo stops.
Section Three:
Twin Valley senior Lucas Myers, who plays running back and linebacker, starred against Wyomissing. Myers rushed six times for 154 yards and three touchdowns and added seven tackles and five assists on defense.
Section Four:
Conrad Weiser junior running back Kole Kupper set a new school record during an explosive outing against Eastern York. Kupper scored six rushing touchdowns on runs of 60, 21, 7, 61, 31 and 52 yards and added a two-point conversion run.
Also earning honors in Section 4 was Northern Lebanon senior Brady Ryan. The running back and safety accounted for 311 total yards and three touchdowns against Minersville, rushing 23 times for 272 yards and two scores while adding three receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Ryan contributed 11 tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass deflection.
Section Five:
Hamburg sophomore quarterback Isaac McFadden delivered an outstanding first-half performance against Daniel Boone, completing 13 of 18 passes for 208 yards and five total touchdowns, including four passing and one rushing score.
Joining him as a Section 5 honoree was Kutztown junior Ryan Walters. Playing halfback and free safety against Camp Hill, Walters rushed for 328 yards and five touchdowns on just 18 carries, averaging 18.2 yards per carry. He also recorded six tackles, forced a fumble and blocked an extra point.
PowerPro Linemen of the Week
Section One:
Manheim Township senior center Max Kolbrenner anchored an offensive line that paved the way for more than 200 rushing yards against Central York. On defense, Kolbrenner added five solo tackles, five assisted tackles and one tackle for loss from his linebacker position.
Section Two:
Elizabethtown senior Noah Lloyd turned in a dominant two-way performance against McCaskey. The offensive and defensive lineman earned a 93% offensive line grade with two pancake blocks while adding four tackles, three tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries defensively.
Section Three:
Twin Valley senior tight end and defensive end Andrew Cabigas graded as a winner on both sides of the line against Wyomissing. Cabigas recorded three pancake blocks, helped lead a defensive front that limited its opponent to just two yards per carry, and finished with three solo tackles and one assist.
Section Four:
Conrad Weiser senior Westyn Ulrich, an offensive tackle and defensive tackle, posted a 93% blocking grade and recorded two pancake blocks against Eastern York. He also contributed three assisted tackles on defense.
Section Five:
Pequea Valley sophomore defensive end and fullback Ben Zellers delivered a game-changing performance against New Hope. Zellers registered six tackles, two tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks, while also blocking two punts. Offensively, he caught a 3-yard touchdown pass.
