Al Brooks piloted the Donegal HS baseball team for 28 seasons, going 371-197-3 from 1962 to 1998. His teams won a Lancaster County Championship in 1970 and won six Lancaster-Lebanon League section titles. The Indians won a District III title in 1990 and reached the state semi-finals that season. His teams played in the state playoffs three times.
Brooks coached football at Donegal from 1962 to 1971. The Indians won the Red Rose Conference title in 1963, the first football title in school history. Brooks was named Red Rose Conference Coach of the Year in 1963.
Brooks was the defensive coordinator at F&M College from 1972 to 2002. In that span the Diplomats were 186-111 … winning nine conference titles … and the team was undefeated in 1972 and 1974.
