Franklin & Marshall College Wrestling. He wrestled in the first bout on Franklin & Marshall team in 1923. He lost one match in the four years he wrestled at Franklin & Marshall. He coached the wrestling teams at Franklin & Marshall in 1926 and 1927. He is identified as the "father" of wrestling in Northeastern Pennsylvania; From 1928-1936 he officiated in numerous wrestling Championships PIAA, Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association, Southern Conference, Big Ten Conference, National AAU, and the Olympic trials. in 1932 he officiated in the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles and head referee in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. From 1936 to 1942 head wrestling coach at the University of  Pennsylvania, and from 1946 to 1949 served as Director of Athletics and wrestling coach at Franklin & Marshall.
