Baughman was a two-sport standout for Donegal who earned All-State accolades in both field hockey and basketball during her senior year.
In basketball, Baughman was one of the mid-State’s top scorers averaging 23.7 points per game with 23 made 3-pointers. She registered six 30-point games and shot 80% from the line.
She finished her scholastic career with a school-record 1,777 points, which is top 20 in L-L League history.
Honors that came her way were: L-L League Section Four MVP, all-star, all-defensive and all-academic. She was voted to the Pennsylvania Sports Writers Class AAAAA second-team all-state.
She earned a basketball scholarship to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she will play in her first seas on for the NCAA Division II program after last season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
In her senior season of field hockey, Baughman scored a team-high 17 goals and led the Indians to a 15-8 record and another trip to the PIAA playoffs. She was a first-team L-L League Section Two all-star selection. The Pennsylvania High School Field Hockey Coaches Association named her second-team all-state and she earned PHSFHCA All-Academic honors as well.
