Casey Kaufhold is a 2022 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School. In 2023, she became the first US woman to hold the world’s No. 1 ranking in women’s recurve archery, the Olympic archery event.
She has had a remarkable career in archery, including representing the USA in both the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris. In the recent Paris Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the mixed doubles event.
At the age of 12, Kaufhold won 4 gold medals at the 2016 Easton Junior Olympic Archery Development Nationals in Decatur, Alabama. As a 14-year-old, she defeated the lone woman representing the USA in the 2016 Olympics at the USA Archery National Target Championships in Dublin, Ohio.
She won a gold medal at the 2018 World Series Archery Open in Luxembourg. She has competed in many national and international events and has won many awards and medals.
Kaufhold won two gold medals at the 2024 Pan American Archery Championships in Medellin, Colombia. She won gold in the women’s individual recurve event as well as the women’s team recurve event. She also competed in the women’s individual and women’s team events.
In 2021, she was named Athlete of the Year by World Archery Americas in the recurve cadet women category.
